Let me just start off by saying those new little “tissues” used to wrap the concession food in, SUCK! I mean A LOT!! If they were switched to save money, we need to talk. These innocent little wrappers were a hot mess and they may have been cursed at on occasion; or were we cursing at who bought them??? We don’t quit though and our creative little group was able to get them separated, but Vicki probably doesn’t want me to share those creative ideas. Speaking of creative, Sheriff Henderson wasn’t about to let a frozen block of chili take him down. Nope, he pulled out the kitchen’s only sharp knife and proceeded to saw that bad boy block of frozen chili in half with a bread knife. Kinda impressive until I saw him gag a little when some of the chili chunks dropped into the water filled sink; I’m not able to repeat what he said at this time. Finally, I think the most impressive sighting was seeing Sharene Carr carry her weight in HEB bags on one arm; she may be little but this gal is only making one trip to the car.
Okay enough Concession talk; let’s talk about the District Convention going on THIS weekend at the Marriot Houston North. Though the deadline was last Friday, a little birdy tweeted that Helen Thornton may be able to squeeze you in TODAY – give her a call ASAP. This is a great time to celebrate Bobby Brennan, honor members at the memorial service, and VOTE…..
