Lions,
Hope you enjoyed your Labor Day break! Whether you were lake-side, couch-side, or just avoiding those Presidential impressions from last week (you know who you are, Abe Lincoln).
Let’s ROLL into September like it’s a Costco-sized cart of good deeds.
ROAR STOPPER ALERT!
We’re packing the pride this Wednesday!
We need every single Lion at the District 2S2 P&S Meeting this week to show support (and loud claps) for President Tracy’s big presentation: "What Makes Us the Greatest Lions Club in the World." Spoiler: It's YOU. But also her PowerPoint. So bring your Lion energy, maybe some backup dessert, and help us show ‘em what we’re made of.
Date: Wednesday, September 3 Time: 7:00 PM
Location: China Bear Restaurant
(Or Pre-game - 5:30pm - El Bosque - Conroe, for carpooling.)
KIDS ON THE LAKE: Still Hooked on Happiness
We’re back at Owen Park for our favorite fishing tournament for special needs kids and we need you to help reel in the joy. Every cast comes with a cheer squad, every smile is a trophy. Help us spread the word in your church, neighborhood, or group chat (yes, even that weird HOA thread). Volunteers needed too!
Date: Saturday, September 13
Time: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Location: Owen Park (by the old Westside Rec Center/YMCA)
See what we did there? ;) No experience needed, just willing hands and big hearts. Help us at CAC and make a clear difference.
Date: Monday, September 15 Time: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM Location: Community Assistance Center Sign-Up Link: click here
READING AT REAVES: You Know the Drill
Back to school = back to books! Our first Reading at Reaves of the year is happening Wednesday, September 17. Snag your favorite time slot now and remember, Captain Underpants > War and Peace.
Date: Wednesday, September 17 Sign-Up Link:click here
COMMUNITY PARTNERS: Still Time to Get in the Game
We know the official deadline was September 1, but let’s be real: it was a holiday. So we’re giving you one more day of grace- bring your CP forms to the club office on Tuesday, and you’re golden.
THIS WEEK’S PROGRAM: Business Succession & Exit Climate
Rob Ferguson is in the house this week to talk business succession and how to leave your business without leaving a mess. Warner booked him, so you know it’s gonna be good (and possibly include charts). Bring your questions, and maybe take notes for that future LLC you keep talking about.
The Hannahgram: Itching to Serve
After last weekend’s ant attack, I’ve decided to stick to indoor activities... like vision screenings and book readings. My hands still look like I tried to make sriracha slime, but Lions don’t quit- we just scratch, smile, and serve anyway.
