This week isn't one of our regular meetings, everything this week is all about the Dinner/Dance & Auction!
Annual Legend of the Lion - Dinner, Dance & Auction –
On Wednesday morning at 10 AM, the truck will pull into the convention center, and then it’s GO time—unloading, setting up, and making everything ready for a big night on Thursday.
There are plenty of jobs for everyone:
✅ Building an entrance
✅ Setting up the stage
✅ Assembling auction items
✅ Making & placing decorations
✅ Light work like stuffing & labeling
We’ll break for a pizza lunch at noon, so come out and lend a hand!
***For Those Attending ‘Lions Under the Lone Star’ – IMPORTANT REMINDERS:
✔ Bring your tickets—NO exceptions! Guests too!
✔ A ‘Will Call’ table is available for dropping off guest tickets.
✔ Fill out the front of your ticket BEFORE arrival to speed up check-in.
It’s going to be a honky tonkin’ good time with a western buffet, beer & wine, incredible auction items, and live music by 'Shotgun Road'!
BUT… when the party’s over, we need your HELP! After the lights come up, everything MUST be loaded back into the trailer that night. So, kick off your boots and stick around to help pack up!
This event’s success depends on ALL of us—from the auction items to the table décor, from greeters to bidders. Let’s make ‘Lions Under the Lone Star’ a night to remember!🌟

Quote of the Week:
Quote of the week was provided by past president Lion Jason Miller. "Courage is being scared to death, but saddling up anyway.” – John Wayne
Lions know that service isn’t always easy. Sometimes, we step into the unknown—whether it’s organizing a major fundraiser, asking for auction donations, or volunteering for a new project. But like true cowboys (and Lions), we saddle up, face the challenge, and get the job done.
This week, as we roll up our sleeves for "Lions Under the Lone Star", let’s remember that courage isn’t about never feeling uncertain—it’s about showing up, working together, and making a difference anyway. That’s what being a Lion is all about!
