Your weekly dose of Roars, Recaps & Reminders!
Hi Lions,

Welcome to Thanksgiving week, where we all collectively decide that pie counts as a vegetable and “I’ll start eating healthy on Monday” becomes a national chant. Before we dive into holiday chaos, family debates, and that one relative who brings up politics at the worst possible moment, here’s what’s roaring this week and beyond:

NO CLUB MEETING - This Wednesday, Nov. 26th
That’s right... NO MEETING this week! May your Thanksgiving be full of good food, good naps, and absolutely zero conversations that start with, 'So what’s your five-year plan?' Enjoy the break, you majestic creatures.

LUCKY DERBY- It’s Car Raffle Chaos
It’s that glorious time of year when someone gets to win a shiny new vehicle donated by Gullo Auto Group, valued up to $30,000 off MSRP. Rumor says we have a few tickets left...if you want one, call the office like you’re entering a radio contest to win Beyoncé seats.
FIRST DRAWING: Wednesday, Dec. 3rd
It's a Lucky Be a Lady – Derby!

HOLIDAY HIGHLIGHTS
Christmas at Reaves: Wrapping Party
We’ve bought gifts for some very deserving kiddos, and now it’s time to wrap them. No sign-up needed... just wander over after lunch and try your best not to tape your fingers together.
Date: Wednesday, Dec. 10
Time: After club meeting
Location: Yellow Rose Rooms (across the hall)

Jingle Bell Bash- Santa’s Entourage Needed
Yes, YOU could be part of Santa’s security detail. (“Ho Ho HOLD ON, KIDDO... let Santa through!”). Trinkets, hugs, smiles... bring ’em all. Please sign up so Santa doesn’t show up with a three-person escort like he’s on a budget tour.
Date: Friday, Dec. 19
Time: Half-day morning event
Location: Reaves Elementary
Sign-Up Link: click here ⬅️

Christmas Baskets
#1- Toiletries (aka ‘Holiday Hygiene Heroes’)
We’re gathering standard-size toiletries for our elderly basket recipients. Please avoid trial sizes and jumbo bottles - we want practical, not portable or prehistoric items.
Dates: Now through Friday, Dec. 12
Items Needed: Soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, brushes, combs, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes
Delivery Location: Bring to next two club meetings

#2- Boxing Day (not the British one)
The Eyeglass Center turns into a full-blown Christmas warehouse. It typically takes about an hour to an hour and a half. We sort. We stack. We box. It’s like Santa’s sweatshop but union-approved.
Date: Tuesday, Dec. 16
Time: 10:00 AM until finished
Location: Eyeglass Center
Sign-Up:  click here ⬅️

#3- Deliveries (Spread the Cheer)
After the Christmas Social, we deliver baskets to elderly referrals- usually around thirty-five. Those who sign up get priority and are guaranteed a basket. Please work in pairs, and take a moment to visit; the human connection is a gift in itself.
Date: Wednesday, Dec. 17
Time: After Christmas Social
Sign-Up: click here  ⬅️
(Priority given for those sign-up.)
Note: Deliver in pairs; visits encouraged!

CHRISTMAS SOCIAL- Wednesday, Dec. 17th
Our final meeting of 2025 is going to be festive, sparkly, and potentially fueled by holiday beverages.  More details are coming, but rest assured: it will be Jolly.
Date: Wednesday, Dec. 17
Time: Regular meeting time - will open the doors a little early.

THIS WEEK’S PROGRAM: Remember, there's NO meeting so there's NO program, unless you want to set in the parking lot and see if Ricky Morton show up!

The Hannahgram:  Gobble, Giggle & Get Ready
This quiet week is the universe giving us a wink, Lions - because next week December hits the gas. Derby tickets will ghost us, wrapping paper will stage a coup, and Santa will call like we’re his crisis hotline. We’ll handle it. We always do. And if anyone questions our break, reply with: “Because legends rest before the madness.”

With Lion Love (and a turkey-induced food coma incoming),
