Your weekly dose of Roars, Recaps & Reminders!
Lions, did you know adults make 35,000 decisions a day?
“Which explains why I stood in front of my fridge for 7 minutes and still picked string cheese.”
ROAR STOPPER ALERT!
This week’s meeting IS back at the convention center; in case your GPS still thinks you live at the Fairgrounds. No livestock, no detour signs…just us, caffeine, and the comfort of chairs that know our names.
SERVICE SATURDAY: Reaves Elementary Edition -
UGH, sign-ups are slim but your help is very much needed! As we're
rolling into Reaves Elementary to help our adopted school get classroom-ready…think bulletin boards, book sorting, rearranging rooms, and probably at least one debate about how to hang border straight. PLEASE - SIGN UP, we need who will be there for your 'school assignment'!
Date: Saturday, August 9
Time: 8:00 AM – 12:00 Noon
Location: Reaves Elementary
SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE: Back to School Mode-ACTIVATED
We’re all-in on getting students and teachers prepped for the year. LAST CHANCE TO bring crayons, folders, pencils, and glue sticks (glitter-free, please) to this Wednesday’s meeting, it’s your final chance to help stock those backpacks before school kicks off!
Date: Now through August 6 (Bring to meeting or the CNLC Office)
DISTRICT P&S MEETING: Madam President & Her Sparkly Secretary Reporting for Duty - Tracy and I are making our official debut this Wednesday at the District P&S Meeting…and yes, we plan to arrive fed, fabulous, and slightly over-caffeinated. Meet us at El Bosque at Hwy 105 & I-45 at 5:30 PM for tacos and bonding, then we’ll carpool over to China Bear by 7:00 PM to represent the pride. First impressions matter. So does Queso.
THIS WEEK’S PROGRAM: Pigskin & Pep Talks
It’s the 49th Annual Pigskin Preview, where area high school coaches spill the tea (or Gatorade?) on what’s coming this football season. Let’s pack the house, show some spirit, and pretend we totally understand zone defense. Bring your claps, your appreciation, and your loudest foam finger energy.
The Hannahgram: Small but ready to Tackle it All
This week we got football coaches, school supply chaos, and a Service Saturday with my name (and probably glitter) all over it. I may be 4’11” but I operate at tall girl stress levels with the snack stash of a preschool teacher and the sarcasm of someone who’s triple-booked. Let’s show up, take charge, and prove you don’t need height to have serious impact. No promises on grace…but full on sparkle.
With Lion Love (and half a juice box),
Hannah Medley
Club Secretary
