Conroe Noon Lions finish off the year in service to the community

Ho-Ho-Ho Lions and readers, “Tis the season for giving!” The Conroe Noon Lions are celebrating this holiday season doing just that!
The Jingle Bell Bash was a fun time for all at Reeves Elementary School on Dec. 15. Lions worked hard as Santa’s elves passing out treats and making little spirits bright! The smiles are the kids’ faces said it all.
Lions continued to spread holiday cheer with their annual Christmas Basket deliveries. Thirty-two seniors in our area were blessed with baskets full of food, toiletries, and treats. Our member teams of elves spent the day on Tuesday, Dec. 19, sorting and packing the boxes and went to work again delivering baskets on Wednesday, Dec. 20. It was heartwarming to see the joy of the recipients.
But it is not all work and no play! The CNLC Christmas Social was held at our last club meeting for the year on Dec. 20. The festivities began, of course, with our ‘special’ eggnog to get the party started. Lots of guests and spouses attended to enjoy the food, photo opportunities, music, and games. The Dollar Bill Game was a big hit! Congratulations to all the winners who received gift cards to our local downtown Conroe businesses. Christmas music was provided by the talented Tony Mac!
There are a few dates coming up to remember; coming up on Feb. 15, 2024, we will have our annual Dinner/Dance & Auction. The theme this year is “Its Lion o’clock Somewhere.” Get ready to unleash your inner parrot head.
Plus, CNLC will not be meeting for two weeks, Dec. 27 or Jan. 3. We will be back to start the new year off on Jan. 10.
Wishing all Lions and readers nothing but cheer for you this Christmas.
