The Conroe Noon Lions Club 2022-23 year has finally come to an end, and it went out with a bang! This past Friday night was the annual installation banquet at the April Sound Lakeside Room. It was a perfect setting for our ‘Set Sail’ theme to end a yearlong mission to “Row the Boat.” The CNLC welcomed all new club officers and our next fearless leader: Club President Jason Miller! A fun night was had by all, and we are ready for another successful year.
Speaking on new happenings in the CNLC, this past Wednesday we officially installed eight new members: Claudia Cox, Christopher Flanagan, Jason Gilcrease, Royce Janik, Janet LeGardeur, Rhonda Manuel-Saldivar, Collette Stelly, and Tish Thomas. Rick Reynolds, Past District Governor, and member of the Cut-N-Shoot Family Lions Club, helped to instill the values of Lionism into our new members by showcasing some Lions Club history and highlighting one of our five global causes. Reynolds told the story of Hellen Keller speaking to the Lions at the Lions Club International Convention in 1925. She challenges those Lions in attendance to become Knights of the Blind, and you could say the rest is history.
